  • Never share personal or financial documents through WhatsApp, Telegram or any social media platform.
  • Never send documents to a personal Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook or any non-official email address.
  • Share documents only with the bank's official email ID (ending with the bank's official domain) or through the bank's official customer portal.
  • Whenever possible, submit physical copies directly at the bank branch or through an authorized representative.
  • Verify the identity of anyone requesting your documents before sharing.
  • Never share OTPs, internet banking passwords, debit card PINs or CVV numbers with anyone — including someone claiming to represent the bank.

How to Actually Pay Less Interest

Notice how large "total interest" is compared to the loan itself? These are the levers that shrink it.

1. Prepay small, prepay early

Even one extra EMI a year, paid in the early years, cuts the tenure sharply — because early EMIs are mostly interest. Prepayments made late in the loan save far less.

2. Use OD-linked products wisely

Overdraft-linked home loans (Max Gain / Max Advantage type) let your idle savings reduce the interest-bearing balance daily — while staying withdrawable. Powerful if you keep healthy bank balances.

3. Choose tenure deliberately

A longer tenure lowers EMI but raises total interest dramatically. Take the tenure you need for comfort — then prepay to shorten it, instead of stretching by default.

4. Review your rate yearly
